Green Leap is Monmade’s product development program supporting sustainable, market-ready products for the built environment. Now in its second cohort, the eight-month program guides producers through research, collaboration, and hands-on development—resulting in lighting, furniture, and wall systems that unite beauty, function, and sustainability. Building on the success of the first launch, this second collection reflects the power of thoughtful design to shape a more sustainable, inclusive future.

Product Collection

Monmade’s latest Green Leap collection showcases lighting, furniture, and wall systems designed for residential and commercial spaces. Created by producers from both current and past cohorts, these sustainable, story-driven products reflect a thoughtful approach to design and responsible procurement in the built environment.

About the Program

Over the course of eight months, our Green Leap 2.0 cohort engaged in hands-on sessions focused on sustainability, product design, marketing, and industry engagement. Producers explored how their products could meet market needs, support design and development projects, and contribute to long-term business growth.

Rather than following a single sustainability path, producers examined a range of strategies for improving environmental and social impact through design. Monmade’s sustainablyMonmade assessment was used to evaluate each producer’s operations and product development practices—highlighting opportunities for thoughtful, measurable improvement.

Green Leap 2.0 Cohort

After an open call for applications in 2024, twelve producers were selected for Green Leap. Each producer created a product or suite of products ready for specification by the A&D Community. Our product collection offers tear sheets for quick reference. Below we detail each producer’s product development journey, for deeper insight into what it takes to create a market-driven, sustainable product available now for order.

Alchemic Print

Ignacio Lopez’s work draws from alchemical illustrations and the Japanese concept of Ma—the space or pause between two structural points. Through this lens, he explores shape, rhythm, and balance to create compositions that bridge tradition and abstraction. A participant in the Monmade x CDCP small business program, Ignacio expands his studio, Alchemic Print, through Green Leap with a new series of bold geometric prints on wood panels. The collection includes nine distinct designs in three color palettes, each rendered on uniform 11.5” x 11.5” panels—designed for modular, versatile display in residential or commercial settings. Designs can be grouped within a single palette or mixed across palettes, depending on scale and composition.
