Modern Meaning challenged the region’s craft businesses, maker enterprises, entrepreneurial artists, and design-build shops to develop thoughtfully designed and skillfully made goods. Displayed at the Pittsburgh Glass Center and then EcoCraft Collective’s Oasis on 54th, this exhibition featured furniture, table and barware, lighting, textiles, décor and jewelry handmade or manufactured in Pittsburgh for debut to the national marketplace.
This showcase follows Monmade’s Design/Side exhibition.
Temper and Grit’s Angst & Tantrum Furniture Collection, including a high-top table, end table, and planter won Best in Show. Bones and All’s Keystone Conference and KMJ Metalwork’s Boundless Labyrinth received Honorable Mention.
