TAKTTIME

HISTORY

Jarrod Futscher designs and creates functional, hand-blown glassware and lighting. He launched his production line TAKTTIME in 2017, after a nearly decade-long career studying and making glass art. He is a 2008 graduate of The University of Louisville and studied at the Pittsburgh Glass Center, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Urban Glass, and Penland School of Crafts. Jarrod’s collection of tumblers, cups, growlers, wine and liquor decanters, and pendant lighting is refined and contemporary. He merges traditional blown glass elements with modern form and feel.

APPROACH

Jarrod hand blows and perfects each piece of glass in the TAKTTIME collection. First gathering the hot glass then shaping the fluid material to the finished product. Jarrod focuses on detail, and his growlers and decanters feature thoughtful design elements like thumb rests and complimentary bottle stoppers. His cups and tumblers coordinate with these elegant containers through embellishment and decorative accents. His lighting designs are elegantly minimal and timeless. All of the designed elements in TAKTTIME’s collection are carefully planned and handcrafted. The result becomes a luxurious range of barware and lighting.

FUTURE

With the launch of TAKTTIME barware and lighting, Jarrod Futscher establishes the foundation for his contemporary design and glass studio. Through Monmade he showcases his range of talents and skills by creating distinctive designs for home hospitality.
