Petra Eff Studio

Petra Eff Studio is the creative practice of Petra Floyd, a queer first-generation Liberian-American artist and designer based in Pittsburgh. Rooted in improvisation, collaboration, and joy, Petra’s work moves across performance, sound, drawing, and design. Her newest exploration with Green Leap—gourd pendant lights—extends this ethos into the built environment, transforming natural forms into playful, sculptural fixtures. Each light reflects Petra’s instinctive approach to materials and form, marrying the organic and the imaginative to create everyday objects that hold space for feeling, reflection, and delight.
