Savannah Hayes

HISTORY

Savannah Hayes launched her design collection in October 2015. Based out of her studio in Highland Park, Savannah is inspired by big cities, and the bold, graphic shapes inherent to urban landscape. She has lived and worked in San Francisco, London, New York, Los Angeles, and now, Pittsburgh. After training at the University of Pennsylvania, University College London and New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, Savannah worked in the home and apparel design sectors. She spent time in both Turkey and India, working closely with mills in Bursa, Istanbul, and Bangalore. These experiences offered firsthand textile and design experience.

APPROACH

Influenced by an urban, graphic aesthetic, Savannah loves pattern and color and is always seeking new ways to apply print and texture to the world around her. Through surface and textile design, she strives to create patterns in varying scale, texture, and mood. Her products include decorative pillows, throw blankets, baby blankets, tea towels, zip pouches, and an extensive line of fabric-by-the-yard.

FUTURE

As the Pittsburgh design community grows, Savannah is seeking partnerships with residential and commercial designers to grow her collection’s influence. Looking toward hospitality brands and local and national interior design retailers, Savannah continues to expand and reinterpret her range of goods. She will introduce wallpapers, as well as new tabletop linens including napkins, runners, and placemats.
