About the Producer

Moop

Moop designs and manufactures handcrafted bags at its downtown Pittsburgh studio storefront. Driven by a desire to find well made, everyday goods, Wendy Downs founded Moop in 2007. Her motivation was a failed experiment in making her own clothing - and that simple sewing mistake turned into Moop’s now signature Market Bag. Wendy believes in quality, integrity, and equity in manufacturing. Moop exemplifies these principals, producing a collection of durable, handcrafted bags. Having worked hard to establish a business and always looking to improve and grow, Wendy helps foster similar success throughout the city’s growing entrepreneurial maker community.
