Transit Forge specializes in interior and exterior metalwork, mostly for residential and commercial applications. Designed with the client for site-specific installations, the architectural metalwork complements existing or new architecture – ranging from historic to contemporary. Possibilities for architectural elements include, but are not limited to: railings, gates, panels, grilles, hardware, and door panels.

Transit Forge offers well-crafted, visually engaging sculptural and functional metalwork for homes and businesses. Owner Greg Gehner handcrafts each of the studio’s unique designs and custom commissions including railings, gates, and fencing. Specializing in forged and fabricated metalwork, Greg works from his original and collaborative designs, using creative problem solving to take a project from concept to finished installation.

Based in Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania, Transit Forge metalworking studio specializes in forged and fabricated ironwork. The studio creates sculptural, functional, and architectural iron for interior and exterior applications. Owned and operated by Greg Gehner, Transit Forge focuses on unique design and quality products. Before establishing his studio in 2005, Greg received his degree in metalsmithing from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and worked for professional blacksmiths in Vermont and New York. Each experience added depth to Greg’s construction and metalworking skills. Greg's work synthesizes traditional forging skills and industrial fabrication techniques with a contemporary aesthetic.
