Woven Sevens Shadow Pendant Lamp

Woven Sevens Shadow Pendant Lamp is a functional version of Naked Geometry’s popular Woven Sevens artwork. Based on the number 7, this original artwork also incorporates elements of the numbers 14 and 5 and is inspired by Islamic geometry. The cube pendant features six faces of laser-cut intricate knotwork. Each side is carefully etched with details designed to enhance the play of light and shadows.

Using laser-cutting, CNC fabrication, and traditional woodworking techniques, Naked Geometry transforms salvaged wood into a wide range of objects including lighting, art prints, furniture, and jewelry. They transform a stock of felled wood, reclaimed lumber, and scraps from Pittsburgh woodshops into extraordinary objects.

Measuring approximately 14” Wide x 14” Deep x 14” Tall, this pendant lamp is made from birch ply. Available by special order only.

Naked Geometry

Naked Geometry celebrates geometry through well-crafted goods. A hobbyist turned proficient artist, founder James Gyre first studied geometry to improve his painting and drawing. Today, Naked Geometry is led by James, Laura Gyre and David Villaverde. Using laser-cutting, CNC fabrication, and traditional woodworking techniques, Naked Geometry transforms salvaged wood into a wide range of objects including lighting, art prints, furniture, and jewelry. Naked Geometry also seeks to create larger-scale installations of geometric designs.
